Do Wi-Fi vendors give a good job etc.

No, they do not. The vendors are much to interested in your money to give you information that might put you off, that is why I think they try to avoid the subject. I investigated it a couple of months ago with a view to setting it up but decided against it for various reasons. The vendor I spoke to gave almost no information about security and since at that time I had not gone very far into the subject I gave it little thought. However, since then I have read quite a lot about it and although I still do not do it I may think about it in the future. I would advise anyone thinking about it to do lots of research and get as much info as they can, opinions and views on the subject from as many different sources as possible, before going into it.
