Bought an Epson 6 cartridge system in Venezuela For $200. I will convert prices to dollars. The official cartridges cost $40 each x 6 is $240. I bought a refill kit for $60. The cartridges will fill to twice the capacity of official. I refilled the system over 20 times, so 40 refills. then the system quit. I believe it was the refills fault.

Official
Printer $200
Refill Kit $0
40 Cartridges $9600

Refill
Printer$200
Refill Kit $60
40 Cartridges $0

Wow so what the printer broke after a year I printed $10,000 worth, plus when you are printing with Official ink you are more reserved because of the cost. Yes epson ink is far Superior but not $9000 more.

I take it with your $9600 saving you brought another printer. Yet, you still blame the refill source for your printer failure. So what will make you happy saving money or having a working printer? Please read the forum post on 3rd party inks vs. OEM ink.

Do the math....

40x$40=$1600 Where does the $9600 come from?

The only thing I would buy a warranty for was a printer because they seem to have a short life. I don't know what stopped the printer. I only suspect the cartridge because it required a special reset chip. $9000 saving makes my happy!!! Buying a new printer with the $9000 makes me happy too.
