Resolved Question

Do I Smell a RAT?

May 29, 2015 5:02AM PDT

I am receiving e-mails in my inbox using my highly unusual ID that denotes an unusual name & location only with a different e-mail provider (gmail.com). The subjects are used multiple times. One subject line given was "How to eliminate your ED problems" Another subject line was "Leaked CODE Could DEMOLISH Entire U.S. Lotto Industry. I use an old MAC and my provider told me that I was protected even without additional security. But, my computer does play tricks on me sometimes. I am not very tech savvy. How can I check this out? What do I need to know? Am I
just being paranoid?

it is best to just delete emails like that. no reason to look at it unless you just want to. Macs MIGHT be safe but lately there have been more and more malware and viruses out there for macs. Still few and far between but...

Personally when I want to look at emails that I shouldn't, I will do it in linux Happy

I feel more comfortable. I did contact everyone in my address book not to accept e-letters from me from
that provider. It will probably limit my correspondence some, but I don't like to spread disease. What is Linux and how do you access?
