Do I need to remove an older version before downloading ....

I am a newbie...when do I remove an older version before I download a newer version...seems like if I remove older versions my computer would run faster...any suggestions?

That would depend on a version of WHAT. A little more info as to exactly what you are trying to would help do plus, please follow the forum tip which was above where you put the subject in for your thread which is this.

That's entirely dependant of the s/w you're using. YES and NO. Some newer pgms. will advise you to remove older pgms. outright but others may want it there first in order to migrate setting to newer version, then it takes care of ridding any older stuff or NOT, but it is safety tucked away. If you're "updating" s/w leave it there, parts of it are being used or updated to progress the pgm. into newer/better modes of use(s). Expect the new pgm. to advise/prompt you of its actions or read the FAQ/manual as that's pretty much std. fare on installs on your part.
