I didn't attach the 8 pin power cable, so that explains why half the mother board was working. It's up and running now. Thanks guys!!

A piece of cardboard to place it on. Power supply and as few parts as we get away with. If it fails, we try another board. If that fails, the other parts are suspect.

Let's be clear here that the industry does not build in test to most motherboards. You swap it for another for the test. That is, this one works, the other may not.
