Question

Do I have to upgrade to Windows 10?

Mar 11, 2016 7:03PM PST

Hey all,

I bought my computer for work for data mining specifically. Because of the software I use, I need to stay with windows 7 Pro. My mom's computer just upgraded itself to Win10. I bought a Win10 laptop back in December and it was constantly back at the store with one issue or another. I can't afford that down time. I need stability.

However, even my desktop is popping up the "Upgrade to Windows 10 now..." bubble.

Again, for me stability is far more important than anything else.

Answer
Did you opt for "recommended updates?"

You may want to change the Windows Update options.

Also, not much has changed since early days of computing. We know we should have a full backup of the system as we like it.
