That analoge out on bluray's can be confusing...
Here is the owners thread on AVS:
No matter the brand you get, 1st thing when you get the player do any updates, then enjoy.
Is analog 5.1 out on Samsung BD-P1000 bluray players capable of 96Khz/24b audio out.Does it have DTS-HD and Dolby's High res. decoding capability built in and able to transmitt 96/24 out the analog 5.1 RCA out jacks.
The Samsung BD- P1000F manual says it downmixs Dolby to stereo and doesn't play standard DTS from 5.1 the analoge out jacks and says nothing about downmixing the high res audio formates or decoding them.
I've been researching for some time now asking sales persons in retail outlets, checking usermanuals on the internet from different bluray manufacturers including Samsung,Sony and Panasonic and i suppose I'm getting a little tired of the many different answers I'm getting .In Four different store sales men told me the Samsung's BD-P1000 does and doesn't transfer high Rez out the analog.
The 1st generation Sony Bluray player appears too be the only one that does have 96/24 out the analog jacks, but is this correct?
I have a 2003 SonyES AV reciever as the processor my system with 2 sets of 7.1 and 5.1 analog inputs ,the 5.1 is used for my Denon SACD player already and will remain.
I'm not single minded with manufactures and look for best value for the dollar with the best spec. and reviews.
