Question

dns probe finished bad config "on windows 10"

I cant access the internet on either Chrome or Edge

looked up all fixes but nothing on Windows 10

please help

Then try the solutions for Windows 8. They might need some interpretation here and there for the Windows 10 GUI.

I have this same problem and did not have i until I installed windows 10 (alienwarex51) but the problem comes and goes. I can fix it if I turn off windows defender, but I would really rather not have it off.I have also had intermittent sound problems with windows 10 and have to uninstall my audio drivers and have them reinstall-- fixes it every time, but each problem happens about once a week.

Folk take the 10 upgrade then try to eek by without driver updates from the machine's maker.

This is NOT to say we need to do this everytime but when you read a story like yours you know its time to be sure there is no malware and your drivers and machine specific helper apps are updated from the laptop's maker.
