DNS lookup failed

DNS lookup failed. Using my chrome browser, is there any suggestion on how to overcome this frustrating problem?

I use Chrome for my main browser. accessing Gmail is not a problem BUT when going to another site (even such as Yahoo), it gets hung up on the DNS error message.

yes, chrome works fine BUT the DNS message reappears too frequently.

Does it appear just as often if you use IE?

And what is your DNS server set to (check in ipconfig).
