DNLA with Mac OS?

by rossage5 / September 29, 2009 7:21 AM PDT

I recentlly purchased a Samsung LN46B750 TV and also a BD-P3600 blu ray player. I beleive that the TV for sure is equiped with the DNLA feature, but from what I've read on the samsung site there is no support for using this with Mac OS. Is this possible? I would like to be able to stream music onto my Blu-ray player if possible but so far I've had no luck. Thanks.

rossage5,

At this time, the PC Share Manager for Windows supports DLNA functionality. The Apple interface isn't officially supported, although in some cases, some people have noted that they've been able to make it work. I can pass this up as a suggestion, but at the present time, Apple remains an officially unsupported format.

Samsung LED 8000 & Macbook work like a charm

I found on this forum that Mac and Samsung tv streaming (DNLA) do not really work. For some reason, my macbook and my tv recognize each other. And I can stream movies from Vuze to my tv. I haven't got it working for music or pictures though.
