DMI Anchor not found

Hi Everyone
I have just to go into Packard Bell Smart restore and I am getting a message DMI Anchor not found then when I click ok the next message is not a valid computer I have never had this problem before and the pc is as I brought it from the shop and as been validated by Microsoft.
My main question is when I need to do a complete recovery using my master disc will it reinstall smart restore then. The programmes in smart restore I do not use anyway so I will not do a restore unless some major problem occurs.
