I have the iBoom and I love it. It offers the best of both worlds, a decent home system for your iPod plus portability. I also bought the case for the iBoom as well and would recommend getting one of those remotes for the iPod, such as the Griffon Air Click. Unfortunately, you cannot control the volume remotely and the dual on/off buttons could be confusing. I once drained the six D-cell batteries thinking I turned it off. Now I'll remove two of the batteries when not in use and store them in the side pockets of the case.
