DLNA Server on Ubuntu

Aug 28, 2009 8:48PM PDT

Hi,
I bought an LE32B650T2, and I want to use my PC with Ubuntu 9.04 as DLNA Server.
I've installed miniDLNA program on the PC, but TV doesn't recognize it as DLNA source (on Media Play screen I did not find any other device rather than TV memory).

Any hint ?
Many Thanks
Donato

Do any other machines on the network see that server? If not, work that issue.

No,
unfortunately I don't have any other dlna device in order to check it.
do you know if there is a dlna compliant software that is able to check if a server is working well ?
thanks

for those who have used twonkyvision and mediatomb, how much faster/better is twonkyvision? 20 bucks isn't horrible if its a much better server. will both work on ps3 AND 360? how has ushare's compatibility and performance come along? it seems to be working via this thread: http://www.ps3forums.com/showthread.php?t=74506

also, anyone have a clue as to how i could stream .mkv to the ps3?
