...don't necessarily mean they were "placed" on the computer at that time, but simply that they were originally "Created" at that time. Many driver and system files have dates from when they were originally created and that's the way they are supposed to be. As an example, I just checked a brand new Windows XP SP2 HP laptop and some of the .dll files in the C\Windows\System32 folder were created in 2003..
It would sure help to know the operating system of the computer in question.
Hope this helps.
Greetings & Salutations!
I'm wondering if any of the peeps here can help?
I was using Ashampoo Winoptimizer & hit the DLL button by mistake (I would'nt delete any of it...too dangerous for a relative newcomer!).......now the optimizer found redundant DLL files that are three years old from 2002 & 2003.....now the thing is I've only had my computer for a year....I'm thinking the shop has sold me a second hand system as a new one......I did add new RAM (which was 2nd hand).....could this be why these old files are on my system?, It would help to know before starting any unneccesary wars with the retailer!!
thanks in advance
