Dll Problem, I Think

by BadmanLeo / September 21, 2008 7:04 AM PDT

I'm still running the ancient Windows 98 on my other computer. I ran into a situation where I had to reinstall the OS. Upon completion, I attempted to work one of my programs when an error message indicated that a device isn't working on my computer. I don't know what device it could be, as everything seems to be in working order, except the color is fuzzy. Help!!!!! I hope you can. Thanks.

We had a rather long discussion about dll issues and in the end we found the software in question no longer ran on Windows prior to XP. Be sure your software supports that OS.

Next, some forget how to install Windows. After you install the Microsoft OS you have to get your notes out about your machine and the drivers you need (can be as many as ten!)

Thanks a lot for your help. It seems as though I'm gonna have to finally update my OS. Keep up the good work.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
