dll file errors on a Windows XP

by arby1234 / July 5, 2010 1:21 AM PDT

I encountered a nasty virus around 6 weeks ago. Have successfully removed it and Malwarebytes and Webroot scans consistently find no lingering problems. However, the laptop is still sluggish and I have gotten some .dll file errors. Specifically eappcfg and corevideo. Can someone recommend a few products I can purchase to help me restore the files that were corrupted by the virus?

I really appreciate any assistance I receive. Thanks.

no recovery discs for this laptop?
by Brechan / July 11, 2010 3:43 AM PDT

You didn't state the make and model of the particular laptop, but there should be recovery discs available (or you should have made one) to restore the laptop to factory settings.

Thanks for your suggestion Brechan. I appreciate it. If I'm unable to locate my recovery discs are you aware of any reputable products or service providers that I should consider contacting? Thanks again.

The Samsung RF23M8090SG

One of the best French door fridges we've tested

A good-looking fridge with useful features like an auto-filling water pitcher and a temperature-adjustable "FlexZone" drawer. It was a near-flawless performer in our cooling tests.
