DivX player

Mar 23, 2006 9:33AM PST

I downloaded a movie and everything is fine except there's no sound. Tried WinDVD, Real and WMP, all with the same result. However DivX at least said that it did not recognise the type of file, and I would need to download additional audio codecs. Unfortunately the movie has no extension, such as .avi, etc., so I would like to know how to make it so I can watch and hear! I'm a newbie as far as movies and such are concerned. Thanks in advance.

Or you could use VLCPLAYER.

No codecs to bother with.

-> Why don't you just ask the site about what codec to use? It seems like the web site would want you to play their content.

Thanks for th tip about VLC, that worked fine. Also downloaded 'gspot' which said I needed AC3 filters, so other players can be used.
