Question

"Display driver not responding"

Jan 6, 2015 8:22AM PST

My HP laptop is starting to flicker on and off now and then and show the msg "Display driver not responding."

Is there something I can do? Or do you have an idea what may be happening?

Thank you!

The 2 common causes are non-maintenance (the owner doesn't own canned air) or they updated the driver from Microsoft or another source. There could be more causes such as malware but I'm sticking with these 3.

I'd suspect data cable to the display, or corrupted driver.
