That's why we never trust these "Drivers" utilities.
A couple of options to try;
1] In Safe Mode, try a System Restore to a date/time either before deleting the drivers, or further back before installing SP3. Using the latter will mean re-updating to SP3.
2] If that fails, back to the Safe Mode list of options and try the "Last Known Good Configuration" option. it is similar to System Restore.
If both fail, can you extract those files from that backup folder? If so, copy them to the Desktop whilst in Safe Mode, top option), then head over to the Device Manager, find your video display and run the Update Drivers from there, but point to the files on the Desktop.

Installed SP3 yesterday. That went ok but afterwards ran driver sweeper and stupidly deleted several files for my nvidia card. Now when I start up the computer normally, after the splash screen, the monitor is just black blank. The files deleted in driver sweeper are in the backup folder for driver sweeper but when I click on Restore, nothing happens. Because I can only work in some form of Safe Mode, I can't install anything that might help, like downloading the needed drivers from nvidia.
fyi: my computer is running XP Pro, 32 bit using nvidia riva tnt2 model 64
can anyone help with this problem?
