Disk Volume Error

Dec 5, 2009 5:36AM PST

I installed Windows 7 Ultimate (clean installation) on my Dell Inspiron 1720 laptop, replacing Vista. The Action Center keeps on reporting a Disk Volume Error, and whenever I restart, it runs a chkdsk. Although I was convinced there are no errors on my disk, I still ran chkdsk /r to repair them, and after that finally finished, I restarted the computer, and there in the Action Center was the same old message about Disk Volume Error. Is there any way I can get rid of this message?
