I forgot to mention I have had this PC for at least 4 years and have had no such issue up to now and info about the pc:
OS: Windows 8.1 64-bit
Processor: Intel Core i5-3350P CPU 3.10GHz
Installed ram: 12 GB
Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 Ti
Hi, I'm new to this website but I desperately need help. First of all excuse my english if it isn't perfect but feel free to demand any clarification.
I'm a gamer and spend most of my time playing games, but recently I've been having blue screens sometimes when I turn my computer on with the error message "PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA (_hid_0738_1714.sys)" the blue screen says it will restart the pc on its own after collecting some information but after it reaches 100% the pc does not restart.
So I restart manually by holding down the power button and usually the blue screen doesn't come up.
That has happened a few times but since all I needed to do was restart I didn't think it mattered much. Now when I turn my PC on it is really slow and the disk usage in the task manager says it is always at 100%. I've looked it up and tried a couple things like disabling some background programs in the services.msc and disabling my antivirus (Avast) which seemed to be part of the problem and that helped quite a bit meaning that I don't have 100% disk usage at all times but it does still go up sometimes.
So looking at more forums/solutions I found a guy saying I might have corrupted files and to check I opened the command prompt and typed: sfc.exe /scannow which confirmed that I did have some corrupted files so to fix them the person said to do this command: dism.exe /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
and an error came up: http://imgur.com/a/vSyGl
So that's where I'm at right now, is anyone able to help me with anything or has maybe tips on how else I could fix my pc ?
I don't really want to have to reset my pc but I will if I have to.
