disk is full, eliminate files

I'm tyring to download photos from my camera.I get a message that tells me to get rid of some files because my disk is full.Hogwash!This computer is new and there is a ton of space on my disk.How can that be?

of the camera, the amount of free hard drive space, your operating system or any other detalis noted in red, I doubt anyone can help you until you do.

The machine ia an E-Machine with 40MB harddrive.The camera is a Largan Chamelion 1.3 MP

40 MB ? If so, the hogs must be laughing ! More likely 40 GB ? If so, what is free ? What is the full error message ? Are you sure it is not MEMORY you are talking about ? What format are your photos in ? Were you downloading straight from the camera- try reinstalling the software for doing that, and also reinstall the camera.

You can try clearing up your TEMP and Temp Internet files folders. The problem may even be viruses and parasites related ! Instead of ''downloading'' try opening the ''camera folder'' and copy/paste the photos to your computer.
