disk check question

Mar 24, 2005 9:05PM PST

When I run disk check in Windows XP, it has to be done at start up. The problem is the results pop up just for a second. Is there a way to view the results afterwards? Thanks.

Are you using ZoneAlarm?

I had problems with one of the newer versions disabling error checking. It reacted the same way you described. Normally you can view the progress and it gives a report when completed. I uninstalled Zone Alarm, installed an older verion and the problem disappeared.

Event Viewer

You should have an entry in the Event Viewer > Application event log with source Winlogon.
The description should be the output from Chkdsk.
