Disk Boot Failure?

I've Been searching around the internet on How to fix this problem.A black screen pop up , saying "Disk Boot Failure".Either it's my hard drive, or my motherboard.my Harddrive is not being regconized.I try reinstalling Windows 7, but I cant find my hard drive,to install windows 7 In.I Need Help!

Is this an old PC or a relatively new PC ?

Details re the PC helpful including mfg. name, series and model number.

A New Pc, 2008 , hp pavilion, i toke out my hard drive, and plugged in a old one. It worked, so im guessing my broken seagate hard drive is dead.Or can i fix it? its a Seagate 500 Gb one.
