There over the air hi-def tuner works so well I just bought a new 72HM195 Toshiba AWSOME SET. and compaired the built in tuner vs the tuner in my 811 and was able to pick up 3 more hi-def channels with DISH. I hooked my set up with d.v.i. output from my dish and a h.d.m.i. adapter to the t.v. and the picture is stunning even the non hi-def channels are great BUT Is there a difference in picture quality between the two I dont know have a nice day stewart
I have both, DISH in my former house and in a rental, DirectTV in our new home. The DISH satellites sit a bit lower in the sky, and in the one case behind a mountain. So I feel I am stuck with DirectTV. The menus are terrible (hard to read on a smaller set,) the advertizing for redneck wrestling and various unrestrained fighting pay per view events are continual and disgusting, and the picture is not as clear. All this relates to regular subscription TV, not HD. But I feel DirecTV is a disappointment from the getgo. And I was a stockholder just after the IPO.
