DISH Network and 2 HD TVs

by kirkham62 / December 15, 2008 11:35 AM PST

I have DISH Network and currently have 4 TVs of which 3 are SD. I am replacing one of them with an HDTV but would like to share the DVR that my other HD TV uses. DISH Network tells me that they currently don't have a DVR/receiver that can give HD programming to 2 HD TVs. Is my only option to get another HD receiver and share it with one of my other SD TVs? Would I be able to hook both HD TVs to my current DVR and just watch SD programming one of of the HD TVs? Any advice would be helpful.

The Dishnetwork VIP-622 HDDVR will allow you to watch HD programming on one set and SD programming on another set in another room.
