As long as the slave drive is not being written to at the time of disconnection (not a problem assuming you'll be turning the computer off) you'll be fine. There are programs available that can restrict access to a specific drive, but the only sure-fire way of keeping the data private is to disconnect the drive.
Hey all. I installed a new hard drive a few months ago as slave to my original hd. I was wondering if i'd lose any data if I just opened up the tower and disconnected it for privacy. Let me know what you think and of any other alternatives. I greatly appreciate your help. Thanks!
