Where, in a MBP can I find the size of the disc, used/free?

I found it under Serial-ATA.

Even better is right clicking on the drive in either a finder window or on the desktop, and selecting "Get Info". Or you can use Activity Monitor to get a pie chart view of free vs. used.

These work on any system running Mac OS X.
