Disc-at-once failure

Feb 29, 2008 4:29PM PST

I am using Nero Express ver 8 in my Compaq Desktop PC (PIV - 2.5 GHz - 256 MB RAM - 2x80 GB HDD - LG CDRW drive - WIN XP Pro OS) for burning CDs. While burning Audio CDs from .wav/.mp3 files more often I get error message "Invalid field in parameter G:HL-DT-ST CDRW GCE-8527B" ( HL-DT-ST CDRW GCE-8527B is the ID for my cd drive) and the burning process fails saying "Could not perform start of Disc-at-once". This does not happen while burning Data CDs but only in the case of Audio CDs. I have tried after deselecting "Enable Disc-at-once CD Overburning" under Options - Expert Features, but without success. How can I solve this problem? i will be grateful for any suggestions from Forum members.

We might try TAO next time. Also reducing the record speed to half or one quarter of the media speed helps. If the issue continues we try a cd/dvd lens cleaner, change media make and in the end replace the drive.
