In folder options I chose Media player for mp3 and Winamp for AAC and m3u. In winamp I chose AAC and m3u as default and in media player I unchecked mp3 as default because m3u is listed under that.
Now winamp plays m3u and media player plays mp3, exactly what I wanted.
Windows XP - Media Player 10 - There is a web site I use for internet radio, which broadcasts an AAC+ file. I want to listen using Winamp, which supports this file type, yet when I start it up, Media Player always starts saying a codec is missing etc. blah, blah, blah. Media player doesn't even list (support) this file. So why does it start? I have Winamp listed as the player in Control Panel/folder options/ file types. In winamp under preferences, this file is also listed as the default and in media player, this file isn't even listed. Help!! Thnks
