Press the "Windows Key+R" to bring up the Run line. Type: control userpasswords2 , then press the "Enter" key. When the "User Accounts" window loads, UNCHECK the box that says "Users must use a username and password to use this computer", then click on "Apply", then OK. After that, you'll probably be asked to confirm the automatic sign-in option and you'll need to type in your password TWICE, then reboot the computer.

I have an emachine model: EL1331G-01 W running on Windows 8.1. When I power up, I'm required to login with a password before proceeding. I live alone and no one else has access to my computer.
Question: How can I disable the password requirement at this juncture? I did not have this requirement with my other computers. I appreciate any help you can give. It's probably obvious that I'm not a techie.
