Question

Disabling shared devices

Feb 7, 2014 2:58AM PST

How do I keep my tv, phone and laptop from sharing with one another? Is there a main setting?Just when I think I have it disabled, there's my game or a taped u tube video on my tv so my wife can complain.

You'll have to be more specific.

There is no global off setting today. That is, if I use my Chromebook it required I log in and there are items that sync. So item by item we search for the off setting.

It helps to have a Windows laptop (don't use iTunes or iCloud or Google data storage), an Apple phone and a Android-based box to make you dumb TV a smart TV. Syncing between such different ecosystems is difficult. Even more difficult than not syncing if all devices are in the same ecosystem.
