Disable boot from CD

Can I disable the CD/DVD Drive from being a Boot Device? My OS is Windows XP, and my CD/DVD drive is a HP. Thanks in advance!

In order to do this you will have to bo into your BIOS.
Reboot your computer; during the POST flash screen repeatedly press the DEL (or F1, F2 depending on your mobo setup), this will take you into your BIOS.
Look for a section referred to as 'Boot Device Priority' or 'Boot Sequence', click on this section. Once there you will be able to set the priority of your devices.
ie:
1st) HDD
2nd) Removable Device (ie: USB Drive)
3rd) Disabled

Then click on F10 (save changes and exit BIOS), the computer will reboot itself, and your CD/DVD ROM will not be part of the boot drive sequence.
