DirectX - Direct3D

Apr 28, 2007 10:09AM PDT

I recently installed Windows 2000 on one of my older desktops so I could install some older games that I have. Everything was working fine until I attempted to install Jedi Knight. The game installed but when I try to play it, I get a message about DirectX 5 needing to be installed. When I reinstall it and do an analysis, it tells me that Direct3D is not installed but every other component is. However, when I go to dxdiag, it tells me that direct3d is enabled. The game won't play unless I get this issue solved and I'm out of ideas. Does anyone know what I can do to fix this?
