I'm using Windows 98 Second edition on a Toshiba V3100 desktop computer. I recently ran a Format C: and then installed Windows 98 Second edition. I had trouble with my sound but downloaded the drivers from Toshiba and everything is fine now. I used my Help Trouble shooter program to solve my problem. Since then my DirectX program would freeze up. I went into Help, then Trouble shooter, then clicked on DirectX, Clicked on My Program has Stopped responding, then Next. I only get a blank screen with no information. I installed DirectX 9 and that took care of my freezing problems, but I still get the blank screen in Help.
When I first reformated I had both a good operating DirectX and trouble shooting. I have deleted any files or programs. It has me stumped because everything else is running great. I would appreciate any help out there. TIA
