Can Someone please let me know which is better? Let me know the pros and cons of both.

I have had Dish for 7 years only had minor problems, a couple of times I had to get though with a couple of customer service reps.
The Dish HD-DVR is the best out there, I have 2 VIP622 units and they work great.
If you spend the time reading a lot of posts you will find that there are horror stories about both.
Dish just added a lot more HD channels and is send them in 1080p.
Which one has the best deal changes so calling and getting the latest info is a good idea. John
