DirectTV receivers/recorders?

I noticed that CNET wasn't to fond of DirecTV HR 22 DVR so I thought I better find out whats going on since I will be upgrading.

I hear there is a new model called the HR23 Plus HD DVR, is this unit better than the HR22DVR. CNET didn't think very much of the HR22DVR and that has me worried.

I don't have either one just trying not to make any more mistakes than I have to.

I intend to get there HD service and the local channel option as well.

Any advice would be very welcome.

I believe there really isn't that much to choose from in the market place. What do Cnet say about them that make you worry?
