DiMage Z3 and the viewer: System Error

Hi! I just purchased a Minolta DiMAGE Z3 and took some photos for a project. I am trying to get them on my computer. I inserted the disks, installed the viewer and the driver. After restarting, I connected the camera to the port and turned it on. It proceeds start up then says System Error and shuts down. I have Windows XP, Pentium 4, 40gb hard drive, and meet the other requirements. Any suggestions on what to do?

The first thing I would do is delete the program and re-install it. Have you tried this?
