look for a utility (usually in control panel)
under power or some OEM power utility that will
allow you to change the brightness while un-pluged.
There are also (usually) hot keys ie. FN+Fkey for
screen brightness setting. Its got to be there
you just probably un-aware of this.
Failing at that look for the PDF user manual
burried in your HDD and search for the setting there.
I recently got a dell inspiron 6000 laptop with the standard screen. I have ejoyed the laptop but have been disapointed with the screen. Its not too bad when using a power cord but terible on battery.
Is there any way to change it so it won't dim on battery?
Also is there anyway to change the screen deafault brightness? Im used to my monitor having a brightness control on it but i don't see one. Is there anywhere in Windows XP where you can set the brightness?
Thanks
