Digital encryption

I use OE for emails - just for private use and for banking etc. Is it recommended to embrace digital encryption?
Thanks in advance

" I use OE for emails - just for private use and for banking"

E-mail for banking? I have yet to see any bank working with email since... it's very insecure. I see them sub email for fax of some signed document, but usually other phone calls and more are used to beef up security.

I'd consider being very wary of email for banking.

DUR! Sorry to create confusion ! I meant I use email for general purposes - I don't use it for business as I'm retired so therefore wonder about the necesity for me to have digital encryption.
Please forgive...

The simple rule. Treat as if a postcard.

Treat email as if it was a postcard you were going to drop in the regular postal mail system.
