I did some searching via google, and "digital copy" should work for iTunes AND Windows Media Player 11 and their respective compatible devices.
I would make sure you have WMP 11 installed with all related updates applied.
I would also check the packaging of your movies, and check all documents included. Check to see if this is possibly an older version of "digital copy" that might have been iTunes only.
In any case, your problem is not Microsoft's fault or responsiblity to fix. Its a matter of large entertainment corporations allowing their media to be reproduced...something that has been illegal for decades, and has created the fiascos of Usenet, BitTorrent, and P2P versus the RIAA, DMCA, and even international entities like INTERPOL. Its only recently that these corporations have started to see the idiocy behind locking their content down, and punishing paying customers, that allows such things as this "digital copy" to exist.
Ok, so, all these new movies are coming out with the "DIGITAL COPY" included with them. I just recently bought a couple of movies with the included digital copy and noticed right away that they were not compatible with the Zune (I understand that that is the Zune's/Microsoft's fault, not the movies). I tried to load it to the Zune software just for fun to see what it would say and it says that the Zune cant play it because it was purchased from a store the Zune doesnt recognize or something like that. I assume that is because of the DRM attached to the file. Now my question is, is there anyway to get that digital copy of the movie on to my Zune? If not, does anyone know when/if Microsoft is going to fix this 'problem'? Thanks
