Digital Cameras with Good/Great Battery Life

No matter the research I do before buying a camera, I always seem to get one whose batteries need to be recharged more often than I think they should. Does anyone have recommendations about the best digital cameras for long battery life? Thanks!

Good Battery Life

Simple solution.
Buy a bigger camera.
Many of the large DSLR cameras will last for over 500 shots, because they have a big battery.

A small camera only has room for a small battery.

A lot of the latest ultra thin cameras have a very thin battery that only lasts for about 100 to 150 photos.

If your camera uses standard AA Alkaline batteries, replace them with rechargeable NiMH AA batteries.
NiMH AA batteries will last about 4 times longer on a charge than standard AA Alkaline batteries.

Thank you for the advice. I appreciate it!
