There are several things to try.
First, check your camer's software and see if there is a photo transfer feature you can use. I've never known of a digital camera to be sold without transfer software.
The next option I would try, uninstall then reinstall the camera. Drivers get corrupted for no good reason. Also check your msconfig startup list and see if there is a entry for your camera. I had problems with my CD drive where the autorun feature didn't work. If I put in a CD, the menu (like your are describing for your camera) would not launch. I had to remove/uninstall the drive and let the computer reinstall it to get it to work properly. I tried every suggestion listed here and elsewhere on the internet and nothing else worked. So try reinstalling your camera and see if that fixes the problem.
None of the answers I received helped solve the problem. I have Windows XP Professional. I checke device manager, it shows that my camera is connected via the USB. It even shows the name of the camera. The problem is that in the past when I connected the camera a pop up windows springs up showing some choices such as :
Removable DIsk (E![]()
Print the pictures.
Copy pictures to a folder.
Open folder to view files.
Etc
Now I can't get that pop up window anymore.
I can copy the pictures manually from E: to C:
But I like to have that window pop up again.
Thanks
