digital camera software question

Mar 5, 2006 3:10AM PST

I already own the Canon PowerShot A75 and recently purchased the Digital Rebel XT. The software that came with the Powershot is already on my computer and some of it is similar to the software that came with the Rebel...except maybe newer version & a few new things of course. My question is do I have to uninstall the older versions already on there and then install the new versions or will they just be replaced when I install the new cd?

Thanks!!!

The chances are that the Rebel software will simply install.

It is possible, but not likely, that it will remove software that came with the older camera. Removing will probably be left for you to decide.

It worked

Well, where I have Windows XP I decided to chance it (figuring XP would most likely recognize the older version, as I've noticed in passed experiences) and I was right, it recognized & updated automatically.

Thanks for your response.
