Question

Digital Camera should i get Video&Sound first then pictures?

Sep 19, 2011 3:15AM PDT

I am looking to buy a new digital camera, the primary use would be for video (great sound as well) and photos while traveling. I have had the Nikon coolpix S1 for the past 5 or so years. I was wondering what your input or suggestions would be. I am looking for a camera between
the price of 300-500 dollars. I don't want a one of the big DSLR's. I
am looking for something more advanced then the point and shoot and not
that chunky. I like a lot of features on the camera.
I would prefer a viewfinder, not necessary. I would like it to be more
then 7X zoom and the megapixels a good amount. Something I would love to
have is an auto-focus ring. I would also like it to be able to take
great videos, and sound and a mic input
, does not have to be HD. And
whatever else you think makes a good camera or the right fit.
Thank you for your time and help.

I don't think you are going to find a digital camera with all the attributes you want.

Just find a digital camera that can handle a plug-in microphone and go from there.
It will be a very short list.
