Digital Camera purchase T3 or T33

Mar 8, 2005 10:52PM PST

I am looking at buying a digital camera and I have narrowed it down to the SONY DSC-T3 or SONY DSC-T33.

I guess these are pretty much the same camera and I can get them for an identical price. I have looked through the technical specs and they look identical.

The only thing is the the newer T33 is heavier, bigger and looks a bit plasticy.

I wondered why they have released a very similar/identical camera? Am I missing something, is the T33 superior?

I am leaning towards the T3 but should I go for the latest model?

Thanks

Same camera, different look

I think the T33 was only released in North America and the T3 was only released overseas. I saw the T33 in the Sony store and the front is brushed metal. The performance is the same, the size is barely noticeable (3mm thickness, 10mm length), but I think the T33 looks better. And comes in lots of pretty colours.

But yeah, I hear the T7 is coming out in May so you might as well wait... 15mm thick! And they put the zoom button on the top edge for your finger, instead of on the back panel for your thumb. About time they started copying Canon's ideas!
