Also, appreciated the tip about TomTom. My family (my husband, 16 year old son, 12 year old son and myself) are traveling to Germany, Austria and Italy this August. Would love your recommendations of what to bring. I've figured that our cell phones and pdas won't work (verizon), but want to bring at least one computer (macbook), 2 or more cameras, ipods the TomTom?? and associated chargers (argh). What do you recommend?
Hi Molly - wow, love this new podcast since I'm an avowed gadget girl. (ipods, treo 700p, macbook, hdtv, tivo, you name it)
Digital camera discussion missed my main gripe - shutter lag! argh. Drives me crazy when I miss the shot of my kid because of the lag. What to do short of buying a larger/more expensive SLR?
Also, I like to bike (also live in east bay) and road bikes are also a gadget girls dream sport. Just bought a Trek WSD (women's specific design) road bike which makes a difference, narrower handlepars, appropriate geometry, smaller brake grips, better seat but I didn't by the next one up because it was Pink! (trek pilot wsd 5.2)
So, for all the guys making products for the other 50% of the market (not too small to ignore) think about the functional requirements beyond the color (but sure, we do like things pretty)
