I'd take them up on the warranty.

I own a Kodak CX4200 digital camera and since last night some pics have been very low quality.. very grainy sort of and the colors are all messed up. Well that happened to the first picture I took, then I took a couple more and they were normal. After about three pictures the LCD screen went black and I took a picture and it was just a black screen, so I figured maybe my finger was in the way or something. I took the picture again and it happened again, and again. So I turned off my camera and then I turned it back on and I took a picture and it was normal, and then the black screen thing happened again. I turned off my camera again and then there werent any normal pictures, just the black screen.. and I kept going on like this for about two more times, but I got some normal pictures from it.
Today, after I put those pictures on the computer and looked at them, I decided to test it out again by taking pictures of things just around the room. I took a picture and it was all messed up and grainy, and then I took a picture and it was normal, and then I took another picture and it looked very blackc on the screen and I thought ok, this is going to be one of those black screen pictures. And everuything was black except in the very left side you could see a bit of the fan that was next to me. Then I took the same picture again and it was fine (the flash was on). I thought maybe then it was the batteries because they have been in since may and I probaboly took 300-400 pictures with them and I'm only suppose to get 425 from them. So I changed the batteries and the first two came out normal and then I got a string of messed up ones.
I was wondering if this is a common problem.. the warranty is up on the camera so I can't really return it. The camera did take a bit of a beating like a month ago but since then I have taken regular pictures.
Any help on this is appreciated, thanks. ![]()
