There are lots of these type cameras on the market.
Some for as little as $100.
They are actually a digital camera wearing a different suit.
A digital camera such as the Canon SD300 can perform just as well or better.
None of the people that review cameras seem to be interested in the camera/camcorder, so there is no guidance as to what is good, bad or indifferent.
The primary problem is the cost of the media.
A 512MB memory card may give you less than 20 minutes of recording time when you are recording at the best quality setting. Then you have to off-load the card to a computer or buy another card.

Hey,
I am looking for something that combines a digital camera and a digital camcorder, something similar to the Panasonic D-Snap or Fisher Cameracorder. Perferably something with no tape all memory card. Thanks for any help.
