Digital SLR cameras are more costly than your target price.
Your Olympus OM2 lenses can not be used on any digital camera.
Olympus has several good digital cameras, but all of their cameras that cost under $200 are point-and-shoot cameras with few manual controls.
The Canon A75 (under $200) is more than a point-and-shoot camera.
It also has manual controls that gives the photographer the ability to control the results.
3 megapixels will produce very good photographic prints up to 8 X 10 inches.
Wide angle lenses can be attached to the front of digital cameras, but tend to be rather expensive.
There are many programs that will let you stitch photos together. Just go to:
http://www.google.com
and search for --> photo stitch
.....
I wantt to buy a not too expensive Digital Camera. This is mainly to capture some old buildings in the city of Bangalore, in India, where the light is reasonably good enough.
Perhaps a price range of US$ 200 or less would be good.
I own an Olympus OM2 and have several lenses, hence wondering if I could use the old camera lenses on any digital SLR cameras.
I don't mind one of the new ones which are not SLR like Cannon A75 etc. this is just to indicate what range I have in mind.
I have been told that Olympus Digital Cameras are very good, is it true ?
Finally What kind of Mega Pixels should I be looking at for this kind of Outdoor photography.
Also is it necessary for wide angle lens, if so how much.
Is it possible to use a software to stich the photos together, if there is pls. let me know if there is one that I can download.
Thanking you in anticipation
